I am not in a level or a position to criticize or to give an advice but, I think it is best to returning back to the roots like Родина Тененбаумів (2001), Рашмор (1998) or even Королівство повного місяця (2012) cause it is getting harder to watch it as a movie. The last discussion between Roebuck Wright and Nescaffier was indeed the best part literally. Benicio Del Toro & Lea Seydoux maintained to give something to hold on for audience (or at least me) even though it is hindered by the style. The French Dispatch of the Liberty, Kansas Evening Sun, or simply The French Dispatch, is a 2021 American anthology comedy drama film written, directed, and produced by Wes Anderson from a story he conceived with Roman Coppola, Hugo Guinness, and Jason Schwartzman. With the exception of "The Concrete Masterpiece". Don't get me wrong, it is visually stunning always and you could see the great choreography or design behind it but characters don't feel authentic like they used to. For Wes Anderson fans and completists, The French Dispatch captures the director in peak form: inventive, lively, and clashing all numbers of styles, shots, kinetic editing, framing. For me, after Королівство повного місяця (2012) (my personal favourite by him) & especially Готель «Ґранд Будапешт» (2014), it is becoming harder to dive into the film or the characters. Inspired by The New Yorker (probably the film’s most Anderson-y quality), Dispatch follows a group of journalists who run a magazine in the fictional French town of Ennui-Sur-Blasé (wait. Production designs, and soundtrack is always in its top and gets more and more artistic with each film yet, it is both positive and negative. Whether you like it or not, there is establishment behind Wes Anderson and his style.
